About Me
Hello, my name is Trashaun Pendergrass, and I am the author of this here website.
The website serves as a public portfolio of my projects, and both the Home page and this About Me should provide you with
enough information as to know who I am and all that I'm currently working on.
Education
View My Transcript »Right now, education is my top priority. I am a sophomore at the State College of Florida completing my associate in science degree with a major in Computer Information Technology. As of the time of writing, I am on track to graduate by the end of this fall 2026 semester.
After graduation I plan on continuing my education in the field of Information Technology. I wanted to spend this fall, looking for what exactly I am interested in. There is a bachelor's degree opportunity for me at the University of South Florida, they have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS) program and offer a concentration in Information Studies: Information Architecture.
I am also considering continuing my education at SCF and graduating with an associate in arts degree. Having both degrees provides me with more flexibility, if I wanted to pursue a tradition bachelor's in Information Technology.
Projects & Works
My Desktop & Homelab
My desktop is where I spend most of my time. For a while I cared a lot about maximizing all that was in it to boost my productivity, but I've been downsizing ever since, and I am now looking forward to setting up a homelab to fill the space. I've always wanted to build my own but I could never justify it, outside of an educational experience it doesn't provide any benefit.
I am now at a point where I require expansions for managing all of my data. The past couple of weeks I have been reading more into database management and data reconciliation. I've developed small programs and I plan on containerizing them later on. I believe waiting for a real purpose was the right choice, when you have a genuine interest and goal, you learn alot more. It is a fulfilling way to gain hands-on experience. Future additions to my setup will be more computers, a Network Attached Storage, and another workbench to hold it all until I find an appropriate server rack. My end goal is not to preserve a bunch of Data, but to have lightweight programs and backups, so that in the event it is all lost or disorganized, I can quickly restore it all under a universal system.
My Obsidian Vault
Obsidian is a free note-taking application that I and many others use. It is not much different from an ordinary notes app. The main reason I utilize it over others is because of the user base and simplicity. Every note is a simple markdown document, and it is all organized in folders. Similar to all my other data, if I ever lost access to Obsidian, I could still access all of my notes, which is what I prioritize.
There are alot of neat features in Obsidian. I've added a link to the image if you are interested in checking it out.
